  3. catherine Says:

  4. Yo MaMa Says:

  5. Piripe Says:

  7. dazzle Says:

    stop hunting down wildlife!

  8. sarp Says:

    well done. keep killing. congratulations.

  9. Fire Penguin Says:

Wow, it’s a shame that so many of them were dead. But still, my favorite was the tree.

  10. Marissa Says:

…. Lettuce and trees are animals? I was unaware. Those scientists sure have some explaining to do.

  11. Danak Says:

That moose picture is so sad :( Poor beautiful, huge moose. I want to hug him.

  12. Kelly Says:

Not to be picky, but I am pretty sure that a tree and that green/white thing in the truck are not TECHNICALLY animals.

  13. Vic Says:

Excellent collection! That sunfish is totally amazing!

  14. Emily Says:

Cool but we souldn’t kill them because they are big and besides Bush is missing!

  15. rachel Says:

Who could shoot such an amazing creature like that elk? Why not let it “spread its seed” so there are more? Damn egos.

  16. sue Says:

those are huge but what i don’t get is why if they are so huge why people must kill them… i get the squids get caught but the moose!?

  17. Charles Darwin Says:

Some of these are definitely not animals.

  18. Anonymous Says:

It is unfortunate that all but four were dead and three of those living were plants not animals and the title suggests

  19. Samanthaha Says:

Wow!!! That sand crab is amazing! Too bad they killed it. =/

  20. lawl Says:

Hey dip fuck, that’s a tree, and a head of cabbage… animals? I think not.

  21. Lily Says:

so…what is the thing on the bottom?

  22. Rohit Says:

Holy Cow! That’s so freaking huge, especially that tree - wow

  23. shev Says:

  24. JC Says:

    #6 is Photoshopped

  25. me Says:

um, since when is a head of lettuce or a tree an animal?????

  26. MANBREASTS Says:

WTF… MAN THAT ISH IS HUGE!!! WHAT IS THE LAST PIC OF???

  27. kneliaKnelia Says:

Dunno, most of these pictures make me sad .. People being proud that they have killed a living being ..

  28. johnnyb Says:

Six comments stating that these are not all animals. Give it a break.
    As to the killing:
    1. Some may have already been dead.
    2. Sportsmen are typically nature lovers. They support wildlife from fees collected from license purchases, etc. They have formed sportsman’s groups such as Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever who work hard to provide habitat for all species. More than you or I have probably done for wildlife.
    3. Some individuals must be taken for study to understand the species as a whole so that we can help them.
    4. For some people it is a simple question of subsistance. The children must eat.

  29. Juicy7 Says:

wow shame they where all killed the squid are such cool/exotic creatures does this mean i get to hunt down the largest human out there and kill it/stuff it after all we have all 3 kingdoms here plant animal and fungi…

  30. Charles Says:

Hunters are nature lovers???? what planet do you live on??? Hunters are people who take pleasure in destroying nature and killing poor defenseless animals!!! All hunters should be hunted and killed!!! I’ve got a solution, you wanna hunt, you must first face a grizzly in hand to hand combat! That’d do it!

  31. Dude Says:

JohnnyB, you’re probably right about the 1st and the third points. but comon, you cant say that even MOST of all the killed *special* animals are killed for food or existence. maby not in this post, i agree.

  32. Rafikii Says:

Can someone label all the pictures? Many of the reply comments have guessed, although some are obvious, some are unclear.

  33. Chris Says:

Cool collection, but that horseshoe crab pic is faked.

  34. Kyle Says:

People who believe hunting is all bad clearly have no background in Environmental Ecology. They mistakenly give animals human characteristics and base their opinions completely on emotions.

  35. DILL Says:

Charles your comment was completely uneducated and i feel stupider for even reading it.

  36. nick Says:

The last picture is of a Ocean Sunfish Mola mola.

The second image, of a Horseshoe crab, is heavily photoshopped. Because of their vascular system, they cannot grow beyond 30 inches.

  37. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyuasolz Says:

    I saw bigfoot !

  38. Meira Says:

The moose picture is fake, I think, because I’ve seen the same guy, same pose, same background with a huge bear instead.

And the Squidsm would be big, being either the Giant or Colossal Squid. Though the picture of the squid on the beach… they aren’t big, they’re just closer to the camera. Considering Giant and Colossal Squid are fairly rare, that many on the beach would have made major headlines, and as a biology student who did a project on Giant Squid, I’d have read it.

  39. Fraggle Says:

I would just like to say that it is an amazing collection of pictures. I do love the one of the tree because it is the only thing in those pictures that is still alive.

And in response to the hunting comments… Hunting is now necessary because we have pushed out the natural predators from this country and we have replaced them with our selves so it is now the duty of humans to keep the balance they screwed up in the first place.

  40. johnnyb Says:

    5. If you eat meat or fish or use leather, you are directly supporting the killing of “defenseless animals”.

If you violate rule #5 and are criticizing others for killing “defenseless” animals”.Please quit your sniveling.

Dude: Granted, Here in the US for example, there are very few that live off the land or need to nowadays. But there are hundreds of millions of people living in other areas of the world that do. Please read my previous post again you will notice that my reference to “animals are killed for food or existence” I did say “some”, not “most”

Kyle: I agree with you 100%. There has been a trend towards towards this mentality as humanity becomes more urbanized and more removed from nature.

Charles: You really have to get back on your meds.

Here’s my take om the photos:

Kid/Frog - Just plain fun. This kid will grow to be the guy that stops the burning of the rain forest and his parents will be behind him all the way.

Horseshoe Crab (?) - I don’t know anything about these guys so I can’t really comment.

Lady with Big Squid - Don’t know where she got it, but it wasn’t on a fishing cruise. She’s going to take this inside to analyze, document and publish her findings to the scientific community in hopes of preserving the species.

Catfish - Two good ‘ol boys just made the catch of their lives. Awesome!

Big Squid - Looks like this is at a Japanese fish market. Probably caught by a commercial fisherman. Too bad, but we all need protein a couple of times a week.

Cabbage - I just don’t believe this photo is real. I don’t think an animal of this type reaches this size :)

    Crab Things (2 pics) - I don’t know

Moose - This is not an elk. In moose years he’s probably about 105 years old. He lived a great life and went down without a nursing home and life support.

Tree - The guy in the photo doesn’t have an axe, so I assume he didn’t cut it down for firewood.

Squid on Beach - These were obviously washed up on shore by some disaster. To bad for the natives that their food supply may now suffer for some time to come.

Long Fish (oarfish?) - I’m thinking the village can eat for few days.

Garfish (?) - Just think of all the innocent little fish he’s killed.

Whale (?) - In the old days, this would have been acceptable, but it in the photo it looks like the one guy is using a cell phone which would indicate the photo is fairly recent. This is sad as whale populations are down and we need to protect this species.

  42. cass Says:

    the horseshoe crab…amazn

  43. JeffJeff Says:

Amazing creature such as an elk? Doesn’t she know an elk from a moose? She is an amazing blonde probably. If hunting is so bad, why do you think they call it ‘meat’? I am glad that huge pike is out of whatever lake,,, some water skier could have been eaten.

  44. Duke Says:

Nice. These amazing creatures are dead. Well done. You’re proven your point.

  45. kaily Says:
